Michel "Cren" Pietsch, born in 1970, is a contemporary urban artist from Germany. Growing up in a Franco-German family, he was exposed to graffiti culture in the 1980s. He began painting with spray cans in 1989 and has since worked in over 14 countries. His art focuses on deconstructing and reimagining letters, breaking traditional typographic rules to create dynamic, abstract compositions. Cren's works invite viewers to engage with the forms of letters in a deeper way. He currently resides and works in Berlin, where he continues to develop his unique artistic style.
