Squares, rectangles and circles of different colors and sizes. This diverse bear with its many colorful stone friends symbolizes the great diversity that exists in our city Berlin. All the different figures coexist harmoniously on the design of the bear, resulting in a very colorful and unique design. We are all different, but we live together, we are friendly and tolerant. Berlin, an international metropolis for people from all over the world.
Marina Bitter was born in St. Petersburg on May 22, 1958. From 1975 - 81 she studied at the State Academy of Industrial Art in St. Petersburg. Since 1996 she lives in Berlin. Her work include paintings, graphics, watercolors, and sculptures (dolls).
Since the beginning of the United Buddy Bears project, Marina Bitter, together with her husband Andrej Bitter and her son Andrej Wolff, have been involved in many projects related to the Berlin Buddy Bears. Her ability to express herself in a wide variety of styles never ceases to amaze us. As artistic director of the Buddy Bear Berlin studio she is highly appreciated.
Marina Bitter exhibited her art in several solo exhibitions in Dresden, at Erzgebirge, in Berlin, in Moscow and in Barnaul (Russia) and participated in many group exhibitions in Germany and Russia.
