Product information "Glücksbär, 1m"

A bear sculpture covered in golden leaves, embodies a fascinating fusion of nature and art. Imposing and majestic, he seems almost alive due to the precision with which the artist has painted emblematic insects, such as a cluster of ladybugs and butterflies, on its surface. Every detail, carefully executed, reflects his scientific expertise and attention to realism. The gold leaf that envelops the sculpture adds a dimension of light and mystery, enhancing the fragile beauty of the insects while creating a striking contrast with the raw power of the bear. It is a piece where refinement and nature meet in a poetic dialogue.

Artist "Andreas Maier"
Andreas Maier, a former veterinary scientist with a Ph.D. and former researcher at the Federal Institute for Veterinary Medicine in Berlin, has an unusual background for a painter.
However, his anatomical knowledge and keen attention to detail developed in his previous profession may explain the almost lifelike appearance of the koi carp and beetles in his paintings.
He transferred his scientific mindset to art and began experimenting with different techniques and materials.
