Klio Karadim was born in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 1970 and is a Bulgarian painter and graphic artist.
She was a student at the Special School of Art in Sofia from 1984-89 (graduated with a diploma).
After the fall of the Wall, she came to Germany and, from 1991-97, studied at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle/Saale in the painting/graphics course, graduating with a diploma. From 1997-2001 she studied there for a master's degree in painting/graphics with Prof. U. M. Reimkasten. Klio Karadim has been a member of the German Association of Visual Artists since 2000 and has lived and worked as a painter and graphic artist in Berlin since 2001. She has been running her own gallery in the Nikolaiviertel since 2014, and her works include painting, encaustic, visual art, etchings and cityscapes in acrylic. Klio Karadim has designed numerous Buddy Bears, from miniature sizes to monumental sculptures, and her designs are an integral part of our range.
