Replica of the bear representing China in the exhibition United Buddy Bears 2003-2005. Artist: Pingao Wei.
The artist incorporated important Chinese elements into his sculpture: a mask of the Chinese opera in Beijing and a typical children's costume of Chinese farmers. The reverse shows a depiction of Chinese silhouettes, which are made by farmers on festive occasions and represent a folk art.
